  • Custom Theme Color

I am attempting to set a custom color on the Capitol theme and I am not sure what to put in the "Default Custom" field, the "Custom CSS" field, or what the different dropdown selector fields do.

Are the Custom fields supposed to be CSS tags such as "h1" or "a" or something different? No matter what I put in these fields or colors I use, nothing seems to change. Even when I attempt to use the provided custom colors (Amethyst, Turquoise), nothing appears to change. Can you provide instructions/examples on how to use these fields? Thanks.

    Hello my friend,
The custom theme color works really simply. You can watch this screen to view its set up:http://prntscr.com/9er77phttp://prntscr.com/9er7fw
Please note that: Custom color needs to activate, http://prntscr.com/9er7j1 and template need to be assigned if it doesn't template demo.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have further question.
    Best Regards,

Thanks for your quick response. So, I had completed all of those steps previously. I attempted to recreate exactly what you did and was still unable to. More importantly, even if the color did work, it doesn't fully extend out on the menu bar and only extends for part of the page in the other sections. That really does not look very good. What is the best way to correct this other than modifying the CSS myself?

        Hello my friend,
Actually we don't understand clearly what you mean. Could you please send us your website information (user/password) and your url via our email: dev@joomlavi.com. (And do us a favor by taking some screenshots to describe your error.)
Thanks in advance for your consideration and understanding.

I am sorry, but I am not giving out access to my website. I think you need to take me at my word that I copied everything you put into your screenshots and I cannot get a custom color to appear.

When it comes to my description of how the color doesn't extend properly, you can see it on the screenshot you provided me. http://prnt.sc/9er7fw

You see how the red in the menu bar stops and you still see black on the sides? It doesn't continue all the way across, only right before the logo and right after the last menu option. Then, further down in the page, the red stops and leaves a large amount of white space on either side. This looks really bad. I would want the color to extend all the way to the sides in the menu and further on the page.

            Hello Bobbo3417,
Below are our answer for your questions:
About header, you need to use the right Class to Css correctly.
            http://prntscr.com/a3tocx
            For example: In this case:
.header-white #block-header.headroom--not-top { background-color: rgba(181, 38, 38, 0.9); } Similarly, you need to identify the class. Please choosing parent element to Css if this element still doesn't meet your need.
            http://prntscr.com/a3tq7j
#mainsite { background-color: #AB2A2A; } If there is anything else that I can do for you in this matter, please inform me. We are always interested in listening to our clients and knowing their opinions. I am confident that your next feedback will a positive one. We value your business and wish to have you in our long list of satisfied clients. Thank you very much.
