JV Slideshow Save/Close Buttons Not Working

I'm trying to update the JV Slideshow slides that came as part of the All In One template I purchased. I was able to press save once and since then the buttons have stopped working. I've checked for errors and my browser is spitting out the following when I try to save any changes:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'task' of null

I was going to just download the Slideshow package again and reinstall it but it keeps saying I'm not a member and asking me to register. I tried to register but it says my login is already in use?

Any suggestions? I'm looking to launch this website but this slider is all that's holding me up. I've tried creating another slideshow, I've tried editing another one of the existing slideshows, every time I end up with buttons not saving, closing, etc.
