  • Module positions and styling broken

For the past few months we have been running the quickstart files on our test server, preparing and fine tuning so that we could quickly make the migration on our live existing site.

We installed the template onto our existing joomla 3 site over the weekend and not much is working. We have installed all the extensions, plugins, the framework- everything included in the download package.

Biggest issues seem to be the module positions are not the same, we cannot find an explanation for this, but they do not correspond to the module positions on the quickstart site, all the files are the same, We've even gone as far as to copy the template files over from the functioning quickstart site. Why would it work on the demo site and not when we install it on our existing site?

Another minor aesthetic issue that we are including because it may be related- in the template backend, the options and menus are buggy.

Our only conclusion is that something somewhere is buggy or broken. I need to get this functioning ASAP as our site is now non functioning, and as a business, this is unacceptable.

    Our site is www.designloft.net

I am emailing the purchase code to dev@joomlavi.com

      Hello my friend,

Below are our answer for your question:
Every site will have different module definition, different position. So when you install 1 template. You need to re - config your module, position as this template.
You can compare with demo to have the most exact result.
*** Please note that: Every module. you need to Config those 2 parts:
      1. http://prntscr.com/ac55cu
        http://prntscr.com/ac55jl
      2. 2. Please download our framework link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qgb4a3wnns..._less.zip?dl=0
Because you don't provide us the admin login. So we just can help you about this part.
If you still have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
      Best Regards,

        @ossmygoal.

I have downloaded and installed that framework file. This seems to have fixed the backend display problems. Thank you.

        Compare test.designloft.net with designloft.net

I understand that the majority of content on designloft.net is not visible because it has not yet been assigned a module position on the jv-structure template. However the reason we have not moved these over yet is that none of what has been set up so far looks anything like test.designloft.net. We'd like to get these new features working and then build around them.

**The menu for example is configured identical to your quick start site and it is very broken.

**The testimonials on the test.designloft.net site (your quick start files) are assigned to the module position "bottom-fullsite" -- this module position DOES NOT EXIST on the template installed at designloft.net.

(I am attaching screenshots below of these two examples)

What we need to know, is why are these features not displaying as they are on the test.designloft.net site that was built with your quick start?

I have created a user on test.designloft.net. Use the same logins we sent on March 4, 2016 to dev@joomlavi.com. These logins will work for both sites admin areas.

          Hello my friend,
1.It seems that you lack of some steps when config. When config module, you need to compare carefully between those options: http://prntscr.com/ac55cu -> It's really important.
          2. Your menu is too long, you should reduce the text content for the best displaying.
          3. You can definite those options which don't display before. - That means you just enter the right name and define this position by yourself.
Please remember that: Those Position which doesn't appear in template is the self - defined definition.
If you still have any question or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
          Best Regards,
          Joomlavi Team

Thank you for your help thus far. As the site is coming together, there are a few additional items I am struggling with. The attached image shows the designloft.net site side by side with test.designloft.net (which is the quickstart site)

The mobile menu icon floats up higher than it should.

The menu/logo bar covers part of the slider, I wonder if this isn't related to the first issue- almost as if the entire site needs to be pushed down slightly below the floating elements.

How do I go about adding the padding between the yellow call to action (email us now menu) and the articles below?

How do I reorder the 3 articles located below the slider? I have tried several of the different settings in the module for ordering, and none of them seem to take effect.

We appreciate any direction you can give us in resolving these issues.

The attached image appears to be uploading smaller than the actual size - hopefully you can see the highlighted and circled areas. You can also go to the 2 sites: designloft.net and test.designloft.net
